My name is Kelly Hu, and I am a 3D Artist, illustrator, and fine artist. I'm currently living in Toronto working in the 3D animation film industry as a lighter and compositor.
I began pursuing in the creative industry after graduated from OCADU with a bachelor in Design in Illustration. I spent a lot of my time drawing , painting, and to tell a stories by creating pictures that spark conversations. My inspiration comes from our surroundings; our world, environment, animals, nature, human figure, as well as in cultural and social events. As my love of picture books, photography, films and cinema grew, I took 3D computer animation at Seneca College to advance my skills. Since then I've been part of Netflix’s feature film NextGen (2018) and theatrical feature The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature (2017) as a lighter and compositor.

Selected work "Pulse" published in Professional Fine Art category at Creative Quarterly 41. "Oh Honey" illustration selected for runner-up Professional Illustration category at Creative Quarterly 38. Semi-Finalist in Adobe Design Achievement.
